Yeah the movie was probably one of the best documentary movies I have ever seen. Totally just a wealth of information as well as just in awe of how much they played on...
 
I thought the film was a huge let down. Had so much potential but fell IMO flat.
'Standing on the shoulders of motown' had warmth to it, you really felt for the gang, you got to hear them play, brake down the beat into its pieces and so on. The wrecking crew felt almost bitter at times. Grumpy old bunch who actually felt annoyed that the byrds wanted to record their own stuff. THE NERVE!  ;D

Not dissing the band though, who sounded fucking ACE. Just the movie.
I too were amazed on how much stuff they played on. I love most of it, and their sound is a huge inspiration for me. But yeah, the film was sloppy.
