I have attached an Input Amp diagram from an AMEK blue TAC 1682.

It has a Sowter Input Transformer  followed by a NE5534

I have heard that is a Langley design very similar to the M2500 Input Amp section that also has a Sowter followed by an NE5534, and from around the same time period, right after AMEK started TAC.

I have not compared but if anyone has an official schematic of the M2500 Input Amp,  or definitive design history relating to TAC, I would love to compare notes.

On the TAC 1682 Schematic the channel pcb is labelled GL 163 (george langley?)

The TAC 1682 is a very decent sounding console, a sleeper..

I catalogued some of the old design drawings that I have and I have to check whether I have M2500 input diagram.

GL stands for Graham Langley.

In terms of TAC's design history, the TAC company had a completely seperate design team from Amek. As far as I know Mr Langley does not like transformers but I will find out about that particular module in a couple of days.
