I see Mr Sowter has a remake of interstage transformer.......
has anyone got any more info on this vari mu, how it works , It seems to be similar to the federal 864, please correct me seems to take signal from the interstage tran then into grid of 6R7.....so is this half wave ? Is 6R7 acting as a little booster amp & rectifing ? I notice the little transformer I bet thats gonna be hard to find for DIYing.....why use that transformer ? does it boost the side chain signal some more ?......Im kinda thinking about some DIY, I think I have input & output trans that may work & if it was worth it maybe changing the side chain amp if poss
any thoughts or info would be most welcome...
