Hi

I've been offered Harrison Raven ch strip for 212 Euro, is this a fair price?  Whole consoles go for < 5000 Euros.
My plan was to rack a few of these (or not.... all in your hands)

I've read ppl often rate the eq as a weak spot.  Not shure if this is worth it, compared to ez1290 + a eq of choice (from this forum ofc...)

Guess the Raven is a transformerless design?

they are better in a console than in a rack

mic pre is pretty good for console pre amps

EQ is better than a lot of other consoles, but not something
i consider worthy of racking.
one odd thing i noticed when i worked on one for a few years
was when you boost and sweep the frequency just listening for
the freq. that sounds right for that track, when you look down
afterwards,  the freq knob is at 10:30 rotation.  any band.

oh, and it's only 3 band, tho i love that the low band goes up to
800 Hz and it has a shelf button.  High pass to 2K is good too.

I did a lot of very good sounding records on those, and maybe
even have a bit of a soft spot for them, but I don't want one in my rack

something better would be... better
