want to use a bleeder resistor in the voltage tripler scheme dave uses on the tube mods he put out.  its not a conventional CRCR so im not sure how to proceed?  i tried straping a 47k R over th first cap and it dropped the output voltage considerably.

i want this because if i turn off the power and unplug the mic then plug it in later after a few minutes say it flashes inside the tube.  surely this will chew up my tubes quicker.

OHM'S LAW. Not as an abstract thing: you should be able to glance at a small circuit and "instantly" know I and V, the way a soccer player glances at the ball and knows the angle and kick

hi ohm--1M+ and a little time will bleed...just need a slight path to ground. too low of a path will interfere with circuit.
