UTC-A10 vs UTC-A11
« on: March 13, 2010, 11:48:57 PM »
I have built 2 Federal compressors with one of each input transformer and the A11 has much more gain.  Should I look at the trannies or troubleshoot elswhere??

Many Thanks!

measure the gain through the transformers, and confirm their hookup as identical.

Thanks Doug.  I don't know how to do that and I don't want to bother you as to how.  I thought it might be *common knowledge*.

Oh, well...

put a 1K tone through them and measure both primary and secondary AC voltage level, or dB of your meter does it.  It's that simple.
