Cleaning vintage dakaware knobs
« on: April 21, 2010, 08:30:28 PM »
Does anyone have any tips for bringing the shine back to old dakaware knobs?

I've tried soap and water, which cleaned em, but they're still not shiny.
I'm afriad to try other chemicals for fear of ruining the plastic.
Anyone have any tips?  Or is it simply not possible to get the shine back?

I use the LA2a on very hot signals like lead vocal.

If you have a small drill (such as Dremel) you can actually buy a little polishing mop for it. Apply a bit of wax on it and polish the object. Do gently, not too hard.
