interesting read, thanks.

I remember the first time I knew that "my" music had been completely co-opted was an early 80's national baseball broadcast that used part of a Van Halen song as the lead-in
to a commercial break. It seems hard to believe, now, but I had -never- heard a current rock band's music used by the mainstream prior to this.

You left out HipHop

get some 1979 Grandmaster Flash and then some 1984 Stuff.
Clearly showing how drumcomputers made things worse.

Awesome guys, thanks a lot! The party was really great and everybody loved the music.

It continued with me giving a spontaneous concert (after 48 hours of work and 3 of sleep, right?)
and then we went to another friend's birthday party and just improvised and played songs till about
10AM the next morning...just about never laughed so hard in my life so long, it was just great.
