Hi,

I´m want to buy a cheap but accurate AC Voltmeter.
I´ve seen on ebay some HP 400(various different versions), 3400, etc, do you recommend them? I also saw that they need to be calibrated?

Thanks

The HP 3400 is surely an excellent meter. It offers very wide bandwidth, high sensitivity and high crest factors. If you actually need *that* good a meter is another question. You'd need to tell us about your measurement needs.

Thank your for your response,

It´s just to calibrate small projects like my 1176,s nothing more.

There are some decent digital ones being sold around here for about 12 bucks Canadian!
If you're just doing project work and not rocket science, they're a good bang for the buck.

What you need then is also a voltmeter that can measure from about 20 mV. More precisely you need to be able to measure 50 mV when calibrating the 1176.
