wierd API 312- question

I've got a 312 that does not have a 2622 or (I don't think) the Jensen input xfrmr. It is badged ap2169. It has wires coming out of 2 holes in the bottom, not solder posts. It also has a screw post for securing it to the pcb.

Anybody know? Is it the Jensen?

I doubt it's a Jensen, but I've heard that API switched transformer manufacturers many times, with the 2622 made by (I believe) Reichenbach. You could maybe drop Tom Reichenbach a line at CINEMAG and see if it's one of his.

This was on ebay the other day labelled 2169 and looks like a legit part.

well, that's it. I wonder how that xfrmr sounds.

I already switched it out for one of my 2622's. It took a little hacking to get it in though. The holes and solder pads are not the same footprint as the 2622. What a pain, but at least I've got a pair that matches.

I dont think reichenbach made the 2622, I think they made that one in the picture. totally different sound than a 2622, its much thicker sounding, if that means anything.
