Hey Volker...
With all due respect your daughter has amazing fingernails...its really cute...(talking 'bout the dirt on his nails)

Merry Christmass.

Hi Volker and Holger,
I'm curious to know how the AOC51X sounds compared to DAOC? I'd like to try the tube version but practically the 51x cards would fit better in my rack setup.

Andrew, except of using the same vactrol they don't share much together.
(hard knee) limiter versus (soft knee) compressor
transistors / ICs versus tubes only

a little update on the OLA51X:
I have had some inrush current problems, which is solved.
while all is working fine up to 24dBu output in 600R, we are not 100% satisfied with the low level performance yet.

Volker already answered that. I haven't been in my studio for a month (broke my leg), I didn't even fire up my soldering iron.
I hope I can jump on the project again soon.

will go "in me" with this.
as far as I know Holger is happy with his proto tests.
my last measuring have been some weeks ago.
I might have done measuring errors there

next time I find time I will take the time for this project again ;D
too much to to do at work at the moment.

I had some time today to do some tests. It's a hard knee limiter, as mentioned before. Maybe this example is of use for you.
First of all, an unprocessed test file.
Here is the processed one, settings at some 5-7 dB GR.
Both files are normalized to -3dBFS for better comparability.
