If your voice is dull, here´s the recepie:  ;)

Sting recorded his vocals with an AKG 414, compressed through a UREI 1176, to attain a brighter top end. "His voice was always fairly dull," Padgham explains, "and I was never totally happy with his vocal sound until we came upon the Sony C800 tube mic much later on.

If the grill wasn't personally encrusted with spittle by sting himself, it just won't have the same high end sparkle. It's called a spit shine for a reason...

I have prepared some poetry for reading, in between/during/after/before my songs. But it just doesn't sound good. Obviously i have my signal flow all messed up. I must need a c8000 sony mic!

if someone knows were to get some sting spit, maybe someone has some left over from a project?
