There were some Colombian cartel DIYers that cloned a submarine already.
Didn't offer kits though, and it would be too pricey even compared to Drip 670...
::)
It's really an interesting question though, is there some cool gear that haven't been well cloned...

yeah the Pye comps would be cool.

Pultecs complete with the unobtainum Peerless output and Triad interstage transformers.

According to recently spotted pricing, those two transformers are worth over 1K.

Barring that a Pye compressor would be cool.  ;D

If we were talking about cloning something we already had one of then I would clone my U67.  With my work becoming more and more mastering based I can't see the day I'll ever be able to justify buying a second one but that won't stop me wanting one.  Badly.

I I can borrow greg's machine and buy one.

it really seems like the thing(s) that NEED to be cloned

is the iron.  UTC  Peerless  Triad  etc.

that's  likely  the largest pool of  mojo  in the old stuff

and people who know how to make good tubes, can we get some DNA from
a couple of those guys?

Nobody wants to sacrifice the major unobtanium pieces to the hungry hacksaw!
