60/40 Tin/Lead Rosin Core UK Supplier

Hi guys,

Can anybody suggest a good supplier for 60/40 Tin/Lead Rosin Core in 1mm or 1.2mm diameter here in the UK ? Maplins now only sell the lead-free stuff (which I have a hard time with) and trying to find a good rosin core in 1mm diameter is proving to be much harder than I thought it would be. Could any of the UK members here suggest a good source, preferably where I can buy in smaller amounts (rather than a massive 1lb roll).

RS do a few different types. The multicore stuff or their 'Online' brand.

The last reel i bought was the cheaper Online stuff and it seems fine.

Ah brilliant, thanks very much mrclunk, much appreciated. The 1.2mm non-corrosive flux core looks perfect.

Last time I stocked up on good ol' leaded solder, Farnell still had plenty of choices too....

I'm hoping to stockpile enough to never have to buy leadfree solder for any of my own builds....
