Oktava MK012 Circuit ??? can I use electret capsule with this ??.......

Is it possible to use a electret capsule without damaging it ?...i guess i would need to disable the power going to the capsule....is that possible ? what would i need to change in the circuit to do this?

What type of electret with or without a JFET?

Now you need to figure out how it is not that hard.
 
Hi Gus just a bare electret capsule......one I would like to try is a Shure beta 87 capsule....thanks
 
disconnect the capsule charge voltage part of the circuit.  remove R1 and the 30 meg and .01uf at the 30meg R1 node.  You need to keep C4 and the 51 ohm

Remove the input cap C1 to the JFET if you want

Connect one side of the capsule to the gate(or C1) the other to ground.

 
Wow thanks Gus..... gonna build a vero board version from the ground up for some experimenting with different capsules....thanks once again I can learn from this...
