Hi,

I readed a lot post(not all post here!!) about the NEVE 1073 Preamp but none of them explained in detail how it works electronically.

Do you know how it electronically works???....We might think that the BA283 and BA284 cards as discrete op amps controlled by external resistors(feedback netwoks)???...if I am right How can this be???

I would like to get the overall tecnical performer/funtionality of this pre from a Network Analysis perspective??

I will appreciate any comment about it!!

Thanks for your time.

Any comment???.....will be interestng to give a mayor serious electronic analysis to this kind of vintage equipments like this in order to know in deep your technical implications...Do you??

Two common-emitter stages and an emitter follower stage. With several feedback connections to set DC conditions and AC gain.

It can be understood at many levels. If you don't "see" it easily, maybe you should start with simpler amplifiers.

Darn, soldier...

talk about scatter-bomb posting...

Yes I had post this question in anothers forums as well!!!........I did start making some network analysis(circuital laws) I have a vague idea but I would like get another point of wiev or technical appreciation.....I have the problem of wanting to mathematically analyze every network....jejejejeje

Could we think that the BA283 and BA284 cards as discrete op amps controlled by external resistors(feedback netwoks)???...
How can this be???,
How the gais is controled???
What is the control switch role for gain control?? ,
When the two cards BA283 and B284 are "on" (running) separately  or "on" simultaneously???,
How about the Pasive filters???,
Where these are connected(before/after the preamp, between the gain units cards amps BA283/BA284)??,
How about the input and output impedance match with its transformers and transformers funtonality itself.??......

I will appreciate any idea in order to clearly see how it works!!
Thanks a lot.

PRR broke it down for you into digestible parts.. perhaps study what a common emitter stages and emitter followers are first, then look at how they work when stacked together and with negative feedback.
