??? I'm looking at the board and following traces it seems to be correct on PSU board and Main board, only the 7815 is not written on PSU pcb for VR5 positive Reg.

Thanks Zayance,
Any body has any reference for EAO pushbuttons( Farnell) ?
Cheers,

Edit : maybe Igor can help us :)

There are other options for illuminated pushbutton than EAO, Farnell has a brand called Rafi, i'v just bought two of them, all these are expensive, but you need to buy the cap, the lamp or LED your choice, and also the legend insert if you want to add something inside but it also serve as the look of the switch without it you see the lamp.
Has to be latching.

http://fr.farnell.com/jsp/search/browse.jsp?N=500001+1002062&Ntk=gensearch_004&Ntt=rafi&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial

And Mouser has NKK switches and this series model, do your search using the factory refs in mouser looking at the spec., but this one is momentary the difference in the spec is:
Momentary ON-(ON) and latching is written ON-ON and you want it latching. These are small tough 8mm body.

http://fr.mouser.com/ProductDetail/NKK-Switches/HB15SKW01-6B-JB/?qs=ZOQelsdDI4LKVWSnFNq26A%3d%3d

If this can help? There are i'm sure other hidden options in other suppliers also, like conrad.fr or.de etc...

So, something like this?
http://fr.farnell.com/rafi/1-15-108-151-0000/switch-pushbutton-latching-illum/dp/9927646

I (think) we're asking about EAO because some of us got engraved lenses for them from Igor and ofcourse we'd like to have a compatible switch to insert it into.

Yes something like this, but it's another story if you got some engraved lenses, i can't tell if they will fit, but the info could interest any other builder looking for that kind of switch.

The lenses will not fit most of the other switches.

The EAO you can find at Collins http://www.audiomaintenance.com/

Hi guys, sorry, had no time, a way busy week.
Finally, got flu'ed and +38degC, at home and drinking hot tea wit honey and lemon)

After checking the questions, all they are matter of read before ask, or RTFM.
Anyway,

Please attention!
For reference, here is the file with kit's description (named Kits)
http://twin-x.com/groupdiy/displayimage.php?album=416&pos=1
This way, you can easy locate every component.

-------------------
Something to do to use 4x2180? Pin 4 lifting trick?
I found more than enough info here:
http://www.thatcorp.com/datashts/dn137.pdf
-------------------
http://i1236.photobucket.com/albums/ff442/jandoste/Ratio.jpg

This is attack/release board. Please check at the start of this thread:

Any clues on how to implement/calculate CR1, CR2, RR1 and RR2 for the Release ?

By ear, take potentiometer and capacitor or 2 pots and 2 caps.

Logically, for 0.9 sec setting release, (between 0.6 and 1.2) use 750 or 820k and 0,47uf.
Rolls music increased a bit maximum release (last setting) and did
"dual release" push-button instead of A setting.
Don't affraid to experiment
.

Components supplied with kit:

RELEASE, 5TH POSITION OPT IS 0.9 SEC:
1   0.47U   C5/4.5        CR1
1   750K      RR2   *INSTALL JUMPER AT RR1

------------------------------------

- on C&B RV_1| RV_2 | will have 100r ? if I use all options (SC-MIX etc etc)

RV_1| RV_2 : 33R...120R, 1/4W, metal film, no need to install them if meter board not used

-------------------

- Do I must put Ratio's 500r Trim pot ? if I use all options?

Yes)

- R6L and R6R TBD ?
Really frequently asked question :)
Reference1:
http://www.groupdiy.com/index.php?topic=39459.msg487554#msg487554
If you use DBX202X or other type of VCA which should have input resistance in-series,
in case of replacement board (supplied with PCB set), use 0R (JUMPER) at place of R6L and R6R
For reference2,
AUDIO_BOM.TXT:
2   TBD                1/4W METAL FILM 1%        R6L, R6R !  INSTALL 0R WITH REPLACEMENT BOARD

! DEPENDING ON VCA USED, VALUES SHOWN FOR REPLACEMENT BOARD WITH 4X2181
RESISTORS INCLUDED FOR 3 BUILDS:
DBX202X
R6=3K74, R3=4K99, R100=909R
REPLACEMENT BOARD 1XVCA
R6=JUMPER (0R), R3=20K0, R100=909R.
REPLACEMENT BOARD 4XVCA
R6=JUMPER (0R), R3=4K99, R100=909R

-------------------

Igor, I didn't receive 360k, 750r0, 470k, 200r, and just I got one 2k4! I got a lot resistor M

Please check twice, because we checked twice as well before sending the kits.
However, all we are people and there can be human factor mistakes. Please check and let us know.
If something is missing, we'll send it.

-------------------

On the main board PS is,
1 /-15V
2 /+15V
3 /-18V
4 /+18V
5 /AGND
6 /AGND
7 /-12V
8 /+12V
9 / Case

But on PSU board not the same ?

Main and PSU have absolutely same pads for same voltages on 9-pin, 5mm step interconnector.
1=1=-15, 2=2=+15, etc.

2-pin terminal used for connection of external meter LED board, 12V POWER lamp, etc.

-12V is "digital" (relays and LED display) ground.

-------------------

Oh, so http://www.audiomaintenance.com/acatalog/EA-03-001_extended_info.html this one then?
Hopefully, yes.

To clarify about EAO pushbuttons and lenses.
I used EAO 01-281 latching pushbuttons, bought about 2 years ago on evilbay.
Some people had same pushbuttons and asked about engraved lenses, and these lenses with engravings were sent for free with PCB's.
There are some latching pushbuttons which use same 16mm cutout, this one can be used, for example:
http://fr.farnell.com/rafi/1-15-108-151-0000/switch-pushbutton-latching-illum/dp/9927646
Just print the "legend" on presentation HP "photofilm" or something like this, it will look neat as well.

-------------------

http://i1236.photobucket.com/albums/ff442/jandoste/20k.jpg

There are 2 variants of VCA replacement board assembly. As I can see on picture, 4 vca's used.
This way,

Go to VCA sub-dir
You have an answer, vca.png

If 1xDBX2181 used, same sub-dir, file: 1x2181vca.png

Did anyone already got this switch? [for the Mix] I didn't receiev it and I finished my farnell list just I need to know what is it exactly? I searched in docs_v2_4 2 but didn't find it!
Cheers,
METER_MIXPOT.jpg

Igor, there is lots of parts(resistors, capasitors, two switches for soft|dual) are missing but I will buy them from farnell!
Thanks for the infos !

Hey Jandoste, well it s not a switch but a pot, Alphastat pot to be exact, now maybe one of his left stock from the Sontec builds, so it could be a 4196 100K Rev Log pot, or a 4195 50K Rev Log, if this can help, but i think the Mix pot is discussed somewhere in here, Crushn'Blend thread or something, maybe you can find your answer, at the end it's a pot that allows you to sweep between wet and dry signal....

Thanks Zayance,
I  find it here http://www.alphastat.de/products/alpha/alpha.html
but I just need one pot and I don't want to pay 15$ to UPS :) I'm trying to find Farnell# code if I should :)

Yes of course i wasn't saying go for alphastat, just making it clear that it's not a switch now wich pot to use i dont know, but with a little search you'll find your answer i'm sure.

Hi all,

i didn't have the pot either in the parts received with kit.

The value of pot should be dual 10k linear according to SslTech schematic found here:

Hey Guys,

Happy new year !  Happy new year !  Happy new year !

I almost finished to my unit but just I want to be sure all wires connections are right ?
