only a $1000!
onlymee's one is probably more authentic anyhow.

actually, the resistors look like MELF's in the brochure.
That may help things a little.

The string of Tant Caps are interesting. However, I haven't really seen people complain about those yet.

they got the knobs & made for Neve logo's though

don't forget about Sound scuplter's offering

I find it kind of humorous when the original big guys try to "fight" what us little guys are doing. As usual, a little late to the party especially after they left the whole shitty 1073 thing dormant for how many years. Now they seem to care again?

When do we start the "why are they calling it a 1073 when there's no eq" talk?  :D

...who do they think they are anyhow? :D :D
SAE ???
(I must admit I have done their diploma with good notes in 1994)
((the older german SAE teachers still know me at fairs like AES or Tonmeistertagung, I have been an more unpleasantly student ;D))

However, Tom Missner is a man who knows how to do business.

it does have the high gain portion of the pre so it IS a 1073 PREAMP. but who made the transformers. and just as important, who tested them?

Right , if they see a pocket of money to be had
they don't care about the grass roots that may
have helped it become more popular through
affordability , you guys proved it possible for them .

Similar to the record companies not taking a chance
on bands that haven't already established their own
fanbase

+1, damn, I want my money back!
;D

I only see two transformers? So the line function must be a pad into the Mic trans?

Or switchable coil configuration on the input transformer.

The output trans looks like a Carnhill. Don't know about the input trans.

Someone at the transformer manufacturer? :)

Geoff Tanner said over on gs that they did a great job with this one. I suppose he would know.  :)
