That's right, the ATC.  I got this guy on evilbay a while back.  Custom built by the Smith-Meeker Engineering Company of NYC.  It's really frickin' cool!  It weighs in at just under 100 pounds!

I just started exploring it.  I have no idea what its original use was.  It has 8 Langevin AM16's, each with their own output attenuator.  There is also an AM15, which is a phono preamp that is hard to find any info about.  All inputs feed attenuators, which feed a summing network, the summing network feeds another AM16, and that feeds an Altec 351B power amp.  The phono's attenuator feed the amp direct I think.

The summing box is something I've never seen before.  The label is hand written, which makes me think that it could have been a one off item.  It says it has a 22.3 dB insertion loss.  Hence the AM16 at the tail.

Check the pics.

Imagine the BS that's been fed through them circuits.
Better change those caps, if not just for good karma.

I love that case. Keep me in mind if you ever decide to strip out the AM16s and PSU and get rid of the rest...

Congratulations, Miko. Good score. I'd say that's a once-or-twice-in-a-lifetime-if-you're-lucky kind of score.
