Those Tuchel connectors production has stopped a long time ago. But Neumann says that binder 691 can be modified to fit...

Right. I have a U67 cable made from the modified Binder connectors. It's nice but as Klaus saus on the Neumann forum they are not as robust as the old Tuchels. I like it because my other one has the clunky swivel mount.

But I don't follow Klaus' complaint about the key slot. The female connector has both slots and will assemble on a KM254 just as well as on the U67. On the male end, the second slot allows the insert to be assembled rotated in the barrel 30 degrees. The old slot is still there, not filled in, and causing no harm... I don't anticipate any long term issues.

I can take pics if needed, but it's just a rectangular slot filed or machined into the insert; 5 minutes in a vise with a bass nut file ;)
