Im interested in these springy sounding cheap reverb units.....

How about these mics .....look very much like Oktava ?? Have I read Electro harmonics put their name on chinise mics ? are these china Oktava copies.....not that cheap really too...

Those mics are probably 'OEM' mics made by Oktava and rebranded by EH. Their prices seem close to their Oktava counterparts.
 
Well, I'm not completely sure about all those EH mics, but I do know that (EH branded) ribbon mics are rebranded Oktavas, the real Russian ones...Or at least they were a couple of years ago and IMO it would sound weird that EH would sell chinese knockoffs as they do much business with the Russians anyway, but what do i know  :)

They're pretty nice. I've built a stompbox reverb with it. But it depends on what you want to do? It does not sound like a good spring..
