DK Capsules,,,,,,anyone tried these for DIY....or are their better or cheaper ones ....thanks

Great find , on the ADK source. worth a look , eventhough discriptions seem debateful.

Zebra50 - was not much into ribbons but after seeing your website today for 1'st time
that may all change.

ADK is a great company and has great staff. Very nice and helpful, their capsules are top build quality and worth every penny.

Another source that I haven't personally tried is Peluso

http://www.pelusomicrophonelab.com/capsnmnts.html

A bit cheaper, but not as many options with Peluso.

I have been looking about for parts to build a mic, thats how I found the ADK capsules I think I read they are not chinese ....
things is I wanted to be suprised my some air while pondering my lows hehe....its the 47 I was thinking of getting....

I think I read Peluso are china but tuned up......Im not saying thats a bad thing tho.....

Anyone have any other capsule sources.......Ebay have 30 pound jobs I bet they are shit.....

In my research I read about the 767  china capsules that are meant to be good......I have no idea are they good ? I wonder how they would compare to these ADKs & Pelusos..... is the peluso a tuned up version?...

I was thinking of buying a cheap mic for its parts maybe a Nady tcm or a Behringer B2

CK12 over 200 pounds......That would be the teflon version then........I have read its not very good compared to original brass version but I wonder how it compares to the chinas ADKs & pelusos......

Thanks

I haven't built a mic never mind use these capsules but people seem to like this guy's mics enough that I'd think the capsules are worth a shot.

Interesting never seen that stuff before.....

http://www.gearslutz.com/board/6058234-post26.html    In this post this chap from advanced audio offers a K47 type for 95 dollars & his website sell Peluso PK47 245 dollars so I gues the Peluso is the better of the two

Whoops, it's STW7, not SWT. They had a discount when I bought my red line capsule. From the mail they sent me:

STW7 blue line is about 229,50 EUR,
STW7.1 blue line: 242,25 EUR
STW7 red line: 191,25 EUR
STW7.1 red line: 204 EUR

I don't know if the discount is still on.

No, but the descriptions made me giggle....

"...Ponderous Low-End, Surprising Air!"

:)

Ponderous Low-End -  " why? why on earth does it sound like that?"

Surprising Air! - "i"m surprised that there is any high end what so ever after I hacked up a mic like that"

Thanks papsrski ..........but they replied to my Email saying they dont sell capsules......I will Email again now....

??? Weird.

Well they sell "transducers", not "capsules", but I doubt that's the problem. Didi you use this form at their site:

Hi pas yeah I did , I think the capsule transducer is the issue I found another post here someone having same trouble as me....I will contact aging & ask for prices for transducers....
STW7 blue line
STW7.1 blue line
STW7 red line
STW7.1 red line

Tho I dont know which will be best for me....

Many thanks
