So I have a rack case for an EZ1290 I'm working on. The thing is I just have a blank aluminum front panel. What would be the simplest (with cost in mind) way to go about getting graphics/marking on the front panel? Is there somewhere I can send it out for laser engraving or is there some sort of laser paper I can use that will transfer to the faceplate?

How do you guys figure out the correct stop positions for the knobs and such. I want to make sure the markings on the knobs line up with the knob.

You can get something called water slide decals that allow you to print whatever you want, and then transfer it onto your front plate. Small bear has some and its cheap.

SSL Keith had a technique using label paper and a laser printer for transferring graphics. Do a search around here. I forgot where I found that.

For your controls, go through the META. There is a link in there that leads to a site that will produce different graphics for control stop positions. Personally, I'd grab a sharpie paint pen and draw them on. If its a stepped control, then it will have a spec like 30 degrees per position for lining up the stop positions depending on the number of steps.
