Adding power switches per module on my API 6B lunchbox?

I am not sure as to how the modules work and whether this would be a good idea, but I was thinking of adding 6 little toggle switches on my API 6b lunchbox to turn on/off the modules. That way, I only turn on only the modules I am using and utilize amperage on my power supply.

Would this be unwise to add, will this risk my modules or lunchbox from being damaged?

What would the safest way would be to implement such an idea?
