Well, I didn't get the job at micro soft, but I got a tour of one room that included their anechoic chamber. There was a foot air gap in the threshold that surrounded this floating room, walls, floor ceiling. The walls and ceiling interior were covered in wire mesh covered foam wedges, over a foot tall wedges. The floor was a suspended net of aircraft cable. Incredible acoustics, I could hear every spoken word. They were hiring an audio test technician. I am an electronics technician, I was told they felt I was a hobyist, as most of my audio experience is through my music hobby. I have limited knowledge of operating the equipment that I repair. They did have two Audio Precision devices that cost a fortune.
