Hi, any of you guys ever run across this problem? i have a tc201 weller soldering station and it keeps burning up tips so i'm guessing the magnastat switch is stuck ON?? never seen that before, only seen them go open....anybody ever come across this?

Yes, on an old Weller TCP1 (or was it 2??) iron. I took it out of the stand and thought "Why is the tip a cherry red colour?"  :eek:
