Hi guys!

It's been a while since I've posted, but still loving the site! My 1176's are still going strong, and are used both live and in the studio.

Got an issue with my Tannoy Precision 8d's. Let me explain.

Powered em up recently, no sound. Checked all switches, still no sound. Changed cables, still no sound. However, when I inject a signal and power off the unit from the rear (not the front switch) I get the sound for about three quarters of a second.

I whipped out the amp module and had a look, but since I have no schematic, I'm a bit up in the air at the mo and would like a bit of help if possible. I was thinking about the caps in the audio path being dried up? Not sure...

Any comments or help would be much appreciated!

All the very best guys...and keep cloning!

:D

possible PSU issue. try swapping psu's from one unit to the other see if that fixes the faulty one.. if it does then it's something in the psu if not then it would be elsewhere
