Does anyone here know much about 2-way audio ports? i.e. how do you make a headphone port act like a microphone? or is it that you can use a speaker as a microphone, if you reverse some wires?
I'm very curious about Android Development, and specifically using the TRRS ports (headphone ports) with a stereo mic. right now they only support mono mics. I've been looking at the driver code, trying to figure out if the hardware supports that sort of thing, and they simply didn't code it in (who would want bootleg videos with awesome audio, eh?). Two things that are missing from all android phones are mic gain control, and stereo line-in microphone support, such as a Minidisc Microphone.
