needs 12vdc hook up +positive side of PSU into power and connect the ground. So it lights when flipped. but not sure of the effects on audio. thinking to use it as a mute switch.
how would one wire this spdt switch to use as a cut switch and still illuminate

just trigger a relay with the switch.
