Hey guys Im looking to get both a old transistor radio and a ham radio for my recording setup to use as an effect. They both have different sounds and applications because of their sound.

I would run whole recordings through the transistor radio via a fm transmitter, for something like and intro or skit on an song. And I would use the ham radio for faux vintage interviews, military field transmissions and background effects. Of course their are many uses for these things and are interchangeable, but I want it to sound vintage, authentic but record-able.

Can you guys suggest some in a budget friendly price range?

Thank

Now Im assuming I would need a transmitter and a receiver for the ham radio, right? Or maybe I could just a use a certain walkie talkie that could pull this off and would be easier?
