Man that's nice looking. It's strating to look like my old Federal AM864/u and MAXSON Dept. of Commerce.

Lovely box and all, but my anal-retentive, obsessive-compulsive side is going INSANE seeing those screws with the tapered heads popping out of the un-tapered holes.

Love the meter, btw.

Peace,
Al.

That looks incredible !!! You can pay me for your next PCB order with that

is this a color with "terracotta-effect" ??

steffen is something like a "trendsetter" :green:

but stay tuned for my ssl's coming up... (2he)

Another great job!
It's a very elegant way of implementing the side chain I think, everything on 1 rotary switch. Very nice.
Can you post the schematics of the side chain filter somewhere?

Maybe some pic's of the guts??

if that is what it sounds like in dutch, take massive amounts of penicilline and quick, it might fall off!

Yeah, I would love to have that low cut on mine. Does the sidechain filter work well, and do you like the change in compression when you're using it?

I wish I would have put my SSL in a 2 or 3 RU case!! Looks amazing.

the easiest way to implement a sidechain filter, is just to alter the value of the 22µ cap that is connected to pin 7 of the tl074

a 100n cap results in a 6db hipassfilter at 80 hz ...

to calculate "your" value just use this nice tool
http://www.opamplabs.com/rfc.htm

the resistance is 20000 ohms

thanks to all.

I am still testing different types of sidechain circuits.

I will let you know the results I like.
