Hey guys and gals,

Has anybody tried Solen Fast polyprops in their projects? What do you make of them? I found some at a relatively good price...

Peace,
Al.
Where are you getting them?
I'm getting my buddy's overstock, actually . A quick search shows Parts Express, Tube Depot, The Tube Store and Handmade Electronics all have them in stock, though.

Peace,
Al.

They are OK for what they are. Very often when on budget, I use them. They cannot stand though, against more expensive and higher quality Kimber Kaps, IMO. They are very good as filter caps in tube amps.

I use them for screen bypass caps, but not coupling from plate to grid.
They are meant primairly for speaker cross-overs. Better than lytic for coupling, but Black Gates might sound a little sweeter.
I used Solens and Hoveland Musicaps in my V76. Seems to work.
I noticed Winston has both of those brands in his Redd stuff also.
