Hi,

Just curious to the schematic of the K3-type preamp/buffer in these mics.

The K3-unit contains the circuit, on which a range of (electret) capsules can be mounted,
like ME20 (omni), ME40 (card) etc towards shotgun (ME8x)

The K3 was prior to the K6 range; I understood the K3 is TX-out, where the K6 is TX-less.

Thanks!

I forgot to add a pic of the board (attached).

Not mine, as I haven't forced my way in (yet).

Out of curiosity, any opinions on this mic-range welcomed as well.
I have a pair with the ME20 (omni) heads, so far not bad.

Cheers,

  Peter

Found it by accident, so let's attach.

As it turns out, nothing preamp-ish there, just switching/filtering.

So all active stuff in the capsule-heads (ME20, ME40, ...),
but didn't found any specifics about that.

Wondering if these would be 'own' designs from Sennheiser or using
types from another brand?

Bye/Thanks

Yup, Sennheiser good at that!   :)

The MD441 invokes the same kind of response here, especially when it's in that black+transp.plastic locking clip.

The MD421 on the other hand triggers Derrick-type responses  ;)
