thanks for the thumbs up team! I'm about to head off hunting snapper off the southern coast for a week, when i return i'll try and draw up a schematic for the interface box. ( I built this off the top of my head with only the odd chicken scratching on paper or number crunching on the calculator ) It also occurred to me that it might be of use to others for me to outline how i work with veroboard ( strip board ). I build a lot of one-off projects on veroboard and using some particular rules and techniques for layout have no trouble getting performace that equals pcb layout. Veroboard rules!!
My plan is to put this interface and the HP 8903B into a racked road case. So it can sit like that on the bench and i can just pull the power lead out, throw it into the back of the station wagon and hit the road with it.
BTW I notice for all you Aussies that Altronics has a special on the Audio Signal Generator Kit ( $149 ). This generator is pretty good and if it was given a higher performing servo balanced output stage with a few extra contols it would be great to have this in the test arsenal. You just need the analyser now!! ( DIY project ?? )
