No I have not...but I guess it'll become all too fiddly since I'm running wampserver and first page as well AND at the same time....switching between the three programmes...

And no, text editor will not do what I want. For example, it does not show possible selectors ...

Thanks anyway....

ultraedit is hands down the best text editor ever.

Try it. Spend some time with it. Buy it. It's pretty cheap and if you do a bunch of editing more than worth it's weight in gold and diamonds.
It has an SSH console as well as open-from/save-to FTP/SFTP/etc...
Custom highlighting. Macro's. Very fast.
Column mode is the absolute bomb if you need that.
Mac/Windows/Linux.
Huge userbase.
Extremely well supported.
I have been using it for over ten years and will never use anything else unless I just have to.

Cheers,
jb

Agree 101%; going back to v.2 in the last century.

Doesn't do EVERYthing - - - doesn't make coffee, doesn't know "then" from "than".

Does a hell of a LOT of stuff I'll never get around to using.

I bought a Lifetime license.... it's that good.

Formerly Windows, but the Mac and Linux versions are now supported.

> the selectors don't show :-(

Don't know what that is. (To me, "style" is black shirt with khaki pants.)

"Style builder: The CSS2 style builder provides a graphical interface anyone from novice to advanced can use to create CSS2 styles related to images, text, margins and padding."

Dreamweaver anyone? Is it too much help thought to use those, isn't it better to hand code to keep the skills consitent?

I've always done all css design with a text editor and firebug (firefox extension). All wysiwyg editors suck, and no editor can make sure the design stays consistent over various browsers, so I don't see a time gain in using something more bloated.
