« on: June 16, 2017, 02:12:30 PM »
Hello, someone has tried to use the API 312preamp  without the output transformer?
I am asking because I need a mic preamp with unbalanced output.
Thank you in advance

yes, been there. trendy in 1980.
no tone, reduced headroom.  in my opinion, a waste of a 2520.
but since you asked, schematic attached.
consider the vintage SSL preamp.

Just for curiosity,  why there is a 47k Ohm resistor in the output?
