Hi,

I just started putting together a PA rig for a gig I need to provide PA for tomorrow, and found my TC Electronics M300 effects unit quit working. I haven't used it in probably 4 years.  The Reset procedure won't work, it won't show any input on the input LED's, and the store/recall display reads 14 and won't respond to anything. I'm pissed because it is basically brand new... I maybe used it twice. I guess you get what you pay for...

Are there common failures with this thing that I should look at? Cheap switching supply?  Probably too late to fix for tomorrow, though. At least my antique SP90 is still working.

We have several units here at work. Assuming there is no IC failure most likely you have blown a cap or 2 due to heat. In my experience the caps go from heat, they may take an ic or 2 with it. The eletrolytics are easy to spot if they have poped. Easy to replace too. Start there.
