Recently built an 1176 Rev A Kit by Hairball Audio, well it seems either my input or my output is not working. When I plug it in everything seems fine but when I plug into Pro Tools via 003. The only audible noise is a ground hum and if I turn it up loud enough I get radio station frequencies. Well my Input doesn't do anything and the only thing that comes out is a ground hum but the Output volume knob doesn't control the volume of that ground hum. So I am stuck, if you need anymore information I'll be on every hour. but I could really use some help, this is my first big DIY project.
Thank you

Hi Zachery,

Welcome to the lab.

First thing I'd check is my voltages... are you getting the proper voltages from your PSU going to the main board.
Second, input and/or output xformers... are they wired correctly.

You're gonna need to input a signal and trace your audio path (ac volts) with a DMM or scope if you've got one

These are just a few things to get you started....
micdaddy beat me to it... I'd post in that thread to get more pinpointed help

Cheers,
Dave
