Tube mic to PSU Cable Length?

How long would you make the cable from the tube mic to the PSU?
I think I may know the answer already, but I want confirmation. 30 feet?

the mine is a blue champagne tube mic cable
of 10 feett.

mic -> psu = 10 feet

psu -> pre = 15 feet

so between the mic and the pre the signal course approximately
25 feet, and i havn't any problems.

Depends entirely on cable quality. Make sure that your heater voltage is correct at the consuming end.

The AKG "The Tube" comes with some 30-40' of cable.

You're tying up good/expensive cable in something that can only be used for 1 mic. Do you really need 10m/30Ft? If not, run about 5m/15ft and then go the rest of the way (from the PSU to your desk input) using normal XLR cables, which you can use for other purposed too.

Good point indeed. I was just going from what this Peluso 22 251 I have came with. I was not sure how long or short to go or if keeping the PSU further distance from the mic made a postive difference.
