Dang, I think that's the only JFET in my simulator.

I don't think CS "makes" anything. I think they buy and hoard parts which could go short-supply some day.
 
Hmmmmm......time to stock up, since the Neumann U-87FET mics use them.

Digikey still has 3000+ in stock, and Mouser has 15,000+ in stock...for a LOT lower price than Digikey (11 cents in single lots):
