I built a gar2520 DOA and when I tried to use it , it wasn't working , I'd get no signal from the mic pre . So after examining the gar2520 I noticed I installed Q9 backwards .

I need some advice , should I flip Q9 into the correct position and try to use the gar2520 again ? Or since I powered it up already , I might have damaged things too badly and shouldn't do it ?

I do not want to damage my mic pre in anyway if this DOA is already cooked .

More so , don't damage the pcb from repeated desoldering
[ is it plate through hole ? they can be harder to get out ]
clip the leads , feed a little solder in and suck it out .
maybe safer to just install a fresh transistor , but check it while it's out

What leads on the transistor , after I remove it , do I ohm and what should it read ?
