I have a problem with a sensor input signal: a light sensor is triggering a relais for a dry contact at a sample player. It's working but if the contact (i.e. the light sensor impulse) is too short the input of the sample player can't get it (the relais is switching, also if it is a very short light sensor impulse).
Is there a simple way to extend the impulse a little bit?
thanks for help

an integrator?

Diode in series with relay winding, capacitor across winding?

This will delay the onset of relay a bit - depending on available drive current and capacitor size.

Experiment with capacitor values to fit?

555 timer was made for work like this. Quite short (1 microsecond?) input pulse starts output pulse of any desired length (dozen uS to dozen Seconds). Output is strong enough to drive small relays directly.
