Hi all there,
i found on some websites 3 mixer to be sold

i'll be happy if someone could classify me theses from best to worst mixer.
Can give me advice about the preamp quality, and if these units worth their price ?

revox mb16 : 300 euros
sony mp-x21 : 150 euros
sony mpx 290 : 400 euros

thanks

Yello!

The Sony mixers are mxp instead of mpx ;)

I've got mxp210, not bad but not good for recording since there are no direct outs and only two auxes, no groups. Also watch out with phantom since balanced line in and mic in share the same connector. Works ok in home studio monitoring purposes. Beats behringer pocket mixers at least in durability and propably in noise as well. I don't comment the sound, basic stuff inside. Only two balanced outputs in master section.

I paid 80€ and bought it since then I didn't have any other mixers and needed one. It is limited but if you track by yourself at home studio any of those should work.

are the sony mx-p21 and mx-p210 the same board ??

Propably not but they look similar. Possibly slightly different revisions or just a different year model.

maybe if you track with separate preamps and monitor with it , but
perhaps a soundcraft or something newer would work out better
