im getting really interested in building one of these machines.
however i dont want to spend all that $$ on a Sowter output transformer.
Does anybody here recommend another solution?
 
I've built one PTP using Edcors which are very cheap in comparison to Sowters...it's a so-so vari mu comp and a little limited in it's uses though. The Chiswick Reach VK1 circuit isn't a million miles away and sounds much much better. Or you may be better off looking and last couple of pages of the EMI RS124 thread on here.....!
