API 500 series front panels

Hi All,

Does anybody know what the mounting holes for modules spacing on the API 500V chassis is?
I don't have one at home & am busy designing a double slot width front panel & am just wary that if I simply just double the 1.5" front panel width that the holes wont line up 100%.

well if the platesre each 1.5" then you would have your first hole at .75, then the next at 1.5, etc... The front plates themselves may be a hair smaller than 1.5 so they don't bind on eachother, but I don't own any "real" front plates.

Yes that is easy enough to work out.

But the thing that I was concerned about & that is the reason for my posting.
Does the 1.5" panel's width in the VPR spec include allownce for space so that they don't bind to each other or would that allawance be additional to the 1.5" width?

Check out some of the 500 build threads & it seems like the builders are making them 1.47 or 1.48 inches.

I made the 500 panels for the 5003 EQ 37mm to allow for this
