Hello everybody,
this might be a LONG shot but I have done exstensive research and I simply cant find schematics for the above mentioned.
this was used to belong to my family for ages, got sold 20 years ago and then few months back my father popped into a shop, saw it and reconized straight away.
so we had to buy it and I am now trying to fix it.
it's a beast in that it's all hand wired and really not STURDY.
I have taken some pics hoping that perhaps someone here would say "oh my goodness I have one of those and I also have the schematics"  ;D

so here it is flip open:

inside:

I am definitely NOT an expert on this (synthesis and stuff..) and it's hard to understand how it works without looking at a schematic..
there are few faults going on (like Piano synth always stuck on, strings not working properly, some keys are very "weak" sounding) and since I have no clue how to fault find this we have started by recapping the beast bit by bit and see.
the PSU and all the card that generate the single notes are now recapped, this somehow fixed an early problem we had "vibrato not working", so we are already happy as we are a step further that we were...but...
I am open to suggestions, ideas and what not on how to proceed.

Best,
Mattia.

"Stuck on" is probably a short in the wiring. "Weak" may be tarnish in switch contacts.

i.e., whatever can go wrong in time has gone wrong. Rotted cloth, dirty switches, cheap electrolytics.

Unless there is a community of CEI organ lovers, I suspect you are on your own.

thank you for the suggestions PRR: even a couple of words are good in situations like these!
unfortunately there isn't a community on CEI..I have done extensive researches on internet..  :(

again,thank you!

Best,
Mattia.

Hope you got the organ fixed. Just popped on to this thread from google. Seems that C.E.I. organs are quite rare, I had a C.E.I. Prestige a couple of years ago. Really liked it, but found a Yamaha YC20 and after some time noticed playing mainly the Yamaha. So I sold the C.E.I. I've never seen before the model you have. In fact the only other C.E.I.s I've found are these:

http://www.vsmi.it/vintage-smi/CEI.html

Anyway, good luck with your organ. It's a rare beast, hope you get it fixed.

Hi Petrir,
I've managed to recap it completely but had not time to experiment with it as yet, thank you very much for the links, I am glad there are few people around that still use these organs.

Mattia.
