hi there. i have a DBX 902 de-esser which i would really love to use, but i don't want to buy a whole dbx rack, since i only need one module!

does anyone have experience with these? what type of power supply would i need, and how could i rack it? [1RU rack with power supply built in? maybe a power supply from JLM Audio?]

Any ideas would be appreciated. I'd love to track with this thing… Thanks for listening!

I doubt it, you're best off building up a dual voltage supply up using two of the PS PCB's offered here. You'll be dissapating a lot of heat off the 15v rails, so you'll need to heatsink those guys really well.

You could go the Power One route, but you would most likely need a pair of them and that could get costly for one module. The other option is to lookout for a FS900 dual rack which can do to 900 series modules in 1U.

A DBX rack is so cheap, you might consider just buying one and being done. You will spend more racking a module with something else.

Good point. Thanks Mark. I didn't know DBX even MADE 2 unit racks for their 900 series stuff! I think I'll just do that.
