Hello.

I am sort of working out of my father-in-laws shop so all my equipment is boxed up. (We just moved!) I want to tune the 1176 but I need the following tones...

~1kHz, ~0dB (Distortion)

1kHz, 50mV (GR Meter Track)

Anyone know how I can produce or find such signals? I don't have a tone generator....

You should be able to download (amongst other things) a 1kHz WAV sinewave from somewhere... CD players make egg-salad tone generators. A 1kHz notch filter and an amplifier is all else you need to make a usable "tune it by ear" distortion trimming setup.
