This is an article concerning the generation of higher-order distortion products when a small amount (less than 15dB) of negative feedback is applied to a small-signal amplifier circuit.

More like the early '50s.
Must have been a reprint.
Does Electronics World not have it in their archives (and for sale)?

Why do you say that?

Since the example used in the article was, I understand, a FET amplifier, I doubt the article was written in the early '50s.
