Alternative 451/460 style bodies

Hi all

I have an AKG CK8 rifle mic capsule that attaches to a 451/460 type of body.

I dont have the cash to buy a genuine AKG body, do any of the other mic manufacturers make a body with a similar connector that can replace the 451/460?

I don't think so - that thread is for AKG only.

However, adapters has been seen...

There was a guy here (~~audiofreak or something~~ actually "audiophreak") that machined adaptors to use the CK type capsules on some cheap mic bodies, maybe MXL. This was a few years ago, but maybe he's got a couple sitting in a drawer.

Peter, I have a 460+CK61 which doesn´t get much used. If you want we can trade.

I saw someone use a screw-on pad/filter which was attached to a copper pipe with z-converter in there. The pad circuit was disabled but the threading was designed for the intended capsule.

May not have been a 460/451 but similar idea.
